... and then the swan bit me!

So, it was Sunday, and the weather was so very nice; the sun was shining, a couple of wisps of clouds in the sky, a cool breeze. The lake water was cold, but we paddled in it in our kayaks, under the expressway bridge with cars whizzing by, and the pedestrian bridge with people walking by, some enthralled by the beauty of the water shimmering like liquid gold in the sunlight, some waving out to people on the lake, while others jogging by with their iPods.

After our hour was over, we returned to the dock. As we climbed out of our kayaks, we saw some swans and ducks paddling by. They seemed as interested in us as we were in them. I had never seen a swan so up close before, but I'm sure it must've seen a lot of people before. They seemed sorta friendly. We whipped out our camera and started taking pictures. They didn't really seem to mind it.

As we crept closer to the edge of the dock, they came pretty close too. Their out-stretched necks seemed like they were investigating if we had anything that they could nibble on. We were excited, and took turns to take pictures with them. One of them seemed bolder than the others, and it came really close to the dock. When it was my turn, I reached my arm out, and looked at the camera.. and then the swan bit me! Hahaha!
